Voice Recognition
In the traditional transcription model, a clinician dictates and a Medical Transcriptionist listens to the dictation and transcribes the document. In computer aided medical transcription (CAMT) model, background speech recognition software creates a draft document from your dictation which we then review and edit, rather than typing from scratch. Because it is faster to edit than to type, this voice recognition and CAMT model results in significantly more productive MTs and quicker service for you. This concept has long term cost savings, quicker turnaround times, and patient care benefits for healthcare organizations.
Our CAMT model is not a one-size-fits-all solution. Instead, our speech recognition process and transcription tools are designed for integrated feedback that continually improves our speech recognition models based on corrections from our MTs. Through better recognition models, we create language and formatting models specific to every clinician and to the work type being dictated. We build and continually update models
from thousands of words of medical dictations, and this database continues to grow. Through better transcription integration, we incorporate specified formatting rules from each healthcare organization. In the end, our speech recognition engine learns from MTs’ corrections, adapting the improved speech recognition models continually.
